Undip Information Systems Doctoral Promotion Exam

Undip Information Systems Doctoral Promotion Exam

PLN Institute of Technology lecturer Dewi Arianti Wulandari, SKom, M.MSI earned a doctoral degree after defending her dissertation before the examiners at the doctoral promotion dissertation examination of the Information Systems Doctoral study program (DSI) Diponegoro University (Undip) on Wednesday, August 28, 2025. Dr. Dewi Arianti Wulandari conducted research entitled “Architecture Model of Microservices-Based E-Learning Systems in Higher Education”. Acting as Promoter Prof. Dr. Tri Retnaningsih Soeprobowati, M.App.Sc, Co-Promoter Dinar Mutiara Kusumo Nugraheni, ST., M. Infotech.Ph. D. While the other examiner team consists of Prof. Ir. Agung Wibowo, MSc, Ph.D, Prof. Dr. Rahmat Gernowo, M.Si, Prof. Dr. Budi Murtiyasa, M.Kom, Prof. Dr. Catur Edi Widodo, MT, and Agung Budi Prasetijo SIT, MIT, Ph.D. Prof. Dr. Tri Retnaningsih Soeprobowati appreciated Dr. Dewi Arianti Wulandari for being able to complete her studies at DSI Undip on time and achieving a GPA of 4.0. I really appreciate the implementation of this doctoral promotion dissertation exam, Dewi was able to complete her studies on time and achieve cum laude even though she had to travel the distance from Jakarta to Semarang, her research is also good, namely about “We hope this research can serve as a role model for implementation in higher education,” said Prof. Dr. Tri Retnaningsih Soeprobowati. The Director of the PLN IT Graduate School, Dr. Luqman, ST., M.Kom., IPM., ASEAN.Eng., hopes the knowledge gained at Undip can be applied throughout Indonesia, as it is highly novel. We will send PLN IT lecturers to study at the DSI Undip. According to Dewi Arianti Wulandari, this research aims to develop a microservices-based e-learning system architecture model that can improve the scalability, flexibility, and performance of online learning systems in higher education. “The background to this research is based on the challenges faced by higher education institutions in Indonesia in implementing e-learning systems, especially those that still use monolithic architectures that are less adaptable to changing user needs and surges in user numbers,” said Dewi Arianti Wulandari.
