PLN Institute of Technology lecturer Dewi Arianti Wulandari, SKom, M.MSI earned a doctoral degree after defending her dissertation before the examiners at the doctoral promotion dissertation examination of the Information Systems Doctoral study program (DSI) Diponegoro University (Undip) on Wednesday, August 28, 2025. Dr. Dewi Arianti Wulandari conducted research entitled “Architecture Model of Microservices-Based E-Learning Systems in Higher Education”. Acting as Promoter Prof. Dr. Tri Retnaningsih Soeprobowati, M.App.Sc, Co-Promoter Dinar Mutiara Kusumo Nugraheni, ST., M. Infotech.Ph. D. While the other examiner team consists of Prof. Ir. Agung Wibowo, MSc, Ph.D, Prof. Dr. Rahmat Gernowo, M.Si, Prof. Dr. Budi Murtiyasa, M.Kom, Prof. Dr. Catur Edi Widodo, MT, and Agung Budi Prasetijo SIT, MIT, Ph.D. Prof. Dr. Tri Retnaningsih Soeprobowati appreciated Dr. Dewi Arianti Wulandari for being able to complete her studies at DSI Undip on time and achieving a GPA of 4.0. I really appreciate the implementation of this doctoral promotion dissertation exam, Dewi was able to complete her studies on time and achieve cum laude even though she had to travel the distance from Jakarta to Semarang, her research is also good, namely about “We hope this research can serve as a role model for implementation in higher education,” said Prof. Dr. Tri Retnaningsih Soeprobowati. The Director of the PLN IT Graduate School, Dr. Luqman, ST., M.Kom., IPM., ASEAN.Eng., hopes the knowledge gained at Undip can be applied throughout Indonesia, as it is highly novel. We will send PLN IT lecturers to study at the DSI Undip. According to Dewi Arianti Wulandari, this research aims to develop a microservices-based e-learning system architecture model that can improve the scalability, flexibility, and performance of online learning systems in higher education. “The background to this research is based on the challenges faced by higher education institutions in Indonesia in implementing e-learning systems, especially those that still use monolithic architectures that are less adaptable to changing user needs and surges in user numbers,” said Dewi Arianti Wulandari.

Diponegoro University Graduate School Holds Icenis, Deputy Minister of Public Works Emphasizes Environmentally Friendly Energy Development
The Diponegoro University (Undip) Graduate School held the International Conference on Energy, Environment, Epidemiology, and Information Systems (Icenis) at the Roon Inc Hotel on August 26-27, 2025.
Undip Graduate School Dean, Prof. M. Agung Wibowo, Ph.D., stated that the 10th Icenis was attended by 130 participants from various countries, including Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Uzbekistan, South Korea, Pakistan, and Australia.In attendance was Deputy Minister of Public Works (Wamen PU), Diana Kusumastuti. Professors from various countries also attended, both in person and via teleconference.
“This conference is a routine annual event for postgraduate students, researchers, and industry, focusing on the topics of Energy, Environment, Epidemiology, and Information Systems,” said Prof. M. Agung Wibowo, Ph.D. “We hope that collaboration with industry can be well-established and further enhanced, as it will have a tangible impact. We are currently collaborating with Telkom and even opening a special class in the Information Systems Doctoral Study Program,” he added.
Meanwhile, Deputy Minister of Public Works Diana Kusumastuti, addressing participants at the international conference, stated the country’s commitment to building national infrastructure and energy development.
Government policies will always be oriented toward environmentally friendly concepts.
“In infrastructure development efforts, including energy development in Indonesia, the government consistently prioritizes the environment and natural conservation,” stated Diana Kusumastuti.
Deputy Minister Diana Kusumastuti expressed its full support for this event.
The Icenis forum brought together scientists from across the globe to discuss issues related to nature, the environment, energy, information systems, and sustainable development. These issues are highly engaging and attract widespread attention.
The Ministry of Public Works (PU) expressed its high appreciation for the contribution of the Diponegoro University Graduate School of Public Works (SPS) in advancing science and knowledge.
This has led to Indonesia’s growing international recognition.
This event was also supported by industry, particularly those involved in information and communication systems, such as PT Telkom.

Dr. Rina Fiati and Dr. Ahmad Jajuli, permanent lecturers at Muria Kudus University, conducted dissertation research and earned doctorates in the Undip Information Systems Doctoral Study Program (DSI). Dr. Rina Fiati’s dissertation entitled “A Model for Measuring the Success of Sustainable Use of E-Learning Systems at Universities,” and Dr. Ahmad Jajuli’s “A Hybrid BERT Model and Aspect Index Generator for Performance Optimization of Aspect-Based Sentiment Analysis on Student Review Data” both successfully earned their doctorates after defending their dissertations in an open defense before the examiners at the Undip Postgraduate Building on Thursday, August 14, 2025.

SEMARANG – Saifur Rohman Cholil, S.Kom., M.Kom., a lecturer in the Information Systems Undergraduate Program at the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology (FTIK), University of Semarang (USM), earned his doctorate after defending his dissertation in the Open Doctoral Dissertation Examination of the Information Systems Doctoral Program at the Graduate School of Diponegoro University (Undip) on Friday, August 15, 2025.
Dr. Saifur Rohman Cholil, S.Kom., M.Kom., conducted his dissertation research entitled “Development of the BWM–Entropy–D Numbers Method as a Determinant of Sustainable Entrepreneurship in MSMEs.”
