Diponegoro University Graduate School Holds Icenis, Deputy Minister of Public Works Emphasizes Environmentally Friendly Energy Development
The Diponegoro University (Undip) Graduate School held the International Conference on Energy, Environment, Epidemiology, and Information Systems (Icenis) at the Roon Inc Hotel on August 26-27, 2025.
Undip Graduate School Dean, Prof. M. Agung Wibowo, Ph.D., stated that the 10th Icenis was attended by 130 participants from various countries, including Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Uzbekistan, South Korea, Pakistan, and Australia.In attendance was Deputy Minister of Public Works (Wamen PU), Diana Kusumastuti. Professors from various countries also attended, both in person and via teleconference.
“This conference is a routine annual event for postgraduate students, researchers, and industry, focusing on the topics of Energy, Environment, Epidemiology, and Information Systems,” said Prof. M. Agung Wibowo, Ph.D. “We hope that collaboration with industry can be well-established and further enhanced, as it will have a tangible impact. We are currently collaborating with Telkom and even opening a special class in the Information Systems Doctoral Study Program,” he added.
Meanwhile, Deputy Minister of Public Works Diana Kusumastuti, addressing participants at the international conference, stated the country’s commitment to building national infrastructure and energy development.
Government policies will always be oriented toward environmentally friendly concepts.
“In infrastructure development efforts, including energy development in Indonesia, the government consistently prioritizes the environment and natural conservation,” stated Diana Kusumastuti.
Deputy Minister Diana Kusumastuti expressed its full support for this event.
The Icenis forum brought together scientists from across the globe to discuss issues related to nature, the environment, energy, information systems, and sustainable development. These issues are highly engaging and attract widespread attention.
The Ministry of Public Works (PU) expressed its high appreciation for the contribution of the Diponegoro University Graduate School of Public Works (SPS) in advancing science and knowledge.
This has led to Indonesia’s growing international recognition.
This event was also supported by industry, particularly those involved in information and communication systems, such as PT Telkom.
